Suggest Treatment For Open Wound On Knee

I scraped my knee pretty badly two days ago, and I cleaned it and put neosprone and a large bandage over it, and I changed it out regularly. Last night and today, I have been letting it air out, and now there is a harder, scab-like yellow-brown substance coating the wound. What should I do?

hello.... i'm dr. charles and i' ll be able to help you.. first i believe the scab is becoming infected.. and i would suggest the following... 1) injection TT 0.5 cc immediately 2) see a general surgeon and show you scab... coz if its infected, it would require a proper dressing with good antibiotic coverage 3) an antiseptic ointment called betadine ointment can be applied over the scab area along with dressing..... hope this information was useful... thank you
