Suggest Treatment For Opacity With Cavity Like Lesion In Lungs
HI im 32 years old since last 2009 when i have may chest x ray during my medical exam the radiologist seen in my x ray result having an opacity with cavity like lesion at left upper zone of my lungs. Then he suspected me having a tuberculosis and started me to undergone sputum and skin test fortunately im negative with all this test. my question is how can this opacity on my left upper zone be treated.

Cavitary lesion in the left upper zone should only be treated in the presence of symptoms. Your tests may be normal but if symptoms pf TB are present then it's better to take anti-tubercular therapy. Otherwise if any complications of that cavity like hemoptysis and recurrent infection is there you may undergo lobectomy to remove that cavity along with vaccination to prevent further infection. You should consult a good pulmonologist.
