Suggest Treatment For Oily Skin And Blackheads On Both Sides Of Nose

Hi, I am young and I have normal to oily skin. I have blackheads on the bottom part of my nose near the nostrils and a few on the sides next to the nostrils. They re under the skin, so when I use nose strips I end up just peeling my skin. Do you have any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

- Use face wash that is meant for oily skin
- Avoid using greasy cream / lotions
- You can use creams available over the counter for pimples / acne
- Its likely that the nose strips aren't suiting your skin. Try using alternate face masks/peels. Always try this on a small portion of skin (behind your ear) to ensure you do not have a reaction to it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
