Suggest Treatment For Non Union Of Leg Bone After A Fracture
My 34 year old cousin was shot on the right leg at close range in 2009 and resulted in mass loss of bone...over six months after the bone grafting in january 2010 (where 6 - 9 inches was covered), due to a non union he had a fracture and still cannot walk with his leg. What could be done and hw much would it cost....i also heard about bone transport...how much would that cost

This kind of nonunion with bone loss are best treated by bone transport that is Illizarov technique. It is a time taking procedudre with cumbersome device to wear (ring fixator).
The cost of surgery may vary from city to city. It cost around 60-80000 rupees.
