Suggest Treatment For Non Displaced Fracture On Finger

I have a non displaced fracture of my ring finger (the first bone right behind my fingernail) that is 2 weeks old. I was told to use a splint for 3 weeks & not to move it. But I m wondering if I should try & move it as it may become stiff & I won t be able to use it. Thank you!
