Suggest Treatment For Nodules On The Scalp

What are causing the nodles on my scalp. I have tried vinegar, soda and all kinds of shampoo and rinses. No doctor that I see explains what to do. I cover each one with vinegar and they seem to shrink over night. Then some new ones appear the next day. Are they catching? Some have pus in them

Hello,

I can understand your concern for the nodules on the scalp area. After analyzing the query with best diligence I can make a possibility of simple folliculitis in your case. I can get that you have applied a lot of things including vinegar, soda and all kinds of shampoos to get rid of scalp. All of these things can irritate the skin and can cause more aggravation of the condition. I suggest you to not to touch pinch or pop the area as can get secondarily infected.

In my patients with your kind of problem I prefer to give a course of oral antibiotic such as cefadroxyl or ciprofloxacin for 5-7 days. I also suggest to take a pain killer tablet. It is of much help in reducing the inflammation and pain of the affected area. In case if you feel that the area is increasing then must visit a doctor to get best guidance personally.
