Suggest Treatment For No Bowel Movement And Cough
no bowel movement for 6 days, have not been able to eat anything in 6 days, : after I try to eat or drink something I will cough till I start to sweat then run to bathroom to throw up what I just had ... I try to take itty-bitty sips of broth or chipped ice and water ... but I still cough and the process starts all over again ...I called my Dr., I thought I had Bronchitis and he called in a script for a Z pak .. I took one pill with water and threw it up ..always the cough comes first then sweating then coughing up clear sputum ..Today I inserted a glycerin suppository with almost no results .. The sputum is always clear and after the cough I have to force up the sputum .....I am female, do water aerobics 3 times a week , my age is 62 .. Also, no bowel sounds or gas ...After I sip water , my upper right part of the stomach will burn ... I have a history of Barretts esophagus and take Nexium ... Have not taken my meds in 6 days for fear of burning my throat if I had to throw-up ....Thanks-You .. Patty Baker

Noted the history of no bowel movements for 6 days, unable to eat anything in the last 6 days. after drinking or eating cough comes out first followed by sweating and then vomiting. Doctor thought of bronchitis and gave Z-pack, that too was vomited out. Female/62 - aerobics thrice weekly, history of Barrette's and take Nexium, not taken medicines for 6 days for fear of burning the throat.
With the history you have provided, you can go into dehydration and electrolyte imbalance soon.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Rush to ER or a Hospital for clinical evaluation, examination for vitals, investigations of blood, electrolytes, kidney, liver functions and other tests as may be suggested

Ultrasonography of abdomen.
Upper GI Endoscopy
To get started on intravenous fluids and further treatment as per the causes found.
