Suggest Treatment For Neurogenic Bladder

I have been diagnosed with the term Neurogenic Bladder. Also I have a Thoracic Syrinx T6-T11. Dr. McGrath of Georgetown University hospital said no surgery. I go to the bathroom at least 20 times and sometimes do the Pelvic Floor Exercises but the bladder doesn t empty. I am on SSDI and have no insurance. Anything that I can do and anything different to get the bladder emptied since I can t see a doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, there are various types of clinical conditions which are associated with neurogenic bladder and its sequences. If the pelvic floor exercises along with rest of the medicines are not giving precise results so far as bladder emptying is concerned. Best way to empty bladder is SIC (self intermittent catheterization) to be performed under strict aseptic precautions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
