Suggest treatment for nerve pain in the shin

What would cause the shin and side of lower leg extreme pain a nerve conduction test was done, a couple veins were zapped and checked for blood clod. This has been going on in the lower leg for 7 months. The upper leg in 1999 experienced nerve damage when a fusion was performed from the grafting of hip bone was told I had rsd doesn’t feel like that. I am in terrible pain and no one can find the problem

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a pinched nerve or a bone disorder (inflammation, osteoporosis, etc.). I recommend performing a leg X ray study and blood electrolytes coupled with vitamin D plasma levels for possible deficiency. If these tests result normal, I would recommend starting Amitriptyline or Pregabalin for the pain.
