Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Lack Of Appetite And Thick Saliva

Hi, I was prescribed with e.e.s. 400mg with dose 2 tablets twice daily. I have finished 20 tablets (5 days) & still have 5 tablets left. But I don t feel really good with the side effect. I feel nausea, lost appetite and have thick saliva. Can I stop the medication now? Your prompt response would be appreciated. Thanks

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms you have explained as nausea, loss of appetite and thick saliva are all adverse effects or side effects e.e.s. 4OO mg which contains Erythromycin which is a Macrolide antibiotic which you must be taking for some infection..
As you have not indicated the cause for taking the antibiotic I would suggest you to consult your physician and explain the immediate symptoms so that he can either reduce the dose of the antibiotic or change the medicine..
Once the medicine is withdrawn the side effects will slowly resolve..

As of now you should drink plenty of water and take a soft and nutritious diet so to maintain the body's nutritional value and hydration as in absence of appetite your body can get weaned off for nutrition and can lead to generalized weakness..
