Suggest Treatment For Nausea And Vomiting

My daughter has been nauseous for over 2 weeks. She is fine during the day and gets sick at night with no vomiting except for this past Monday she vomited for 4 hours. She has no other symptoms. Took her to the doctor and they said she looks fine. She just turned 8 years old and is 55 tall and weights around 58 to 60 pounds.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Is there any abdominal pain or any change in her motion? Without any other symptoms, this might suggests a gastric upset. Try giving an antacid like Ranitidine for 3-5 days. Also avoid caffeinated items, fried / spicy items for 1 week. Drink enough fluids and take lot of vegetables and fruits. If it is not getting better in 3 days, we can evaluate further.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
