Suggest Treatment For Nausea And Tightness In Neck

I just had something happen. I was standing up, and all of a sudden I was hot, a little clammy, and the back of my neck felt very tight. I was worried about passing out. I sat down and my stomach acted up - I couldn t tell if it was sudden hunger or nausea, and it also suddenly felt like I was going to have a bowl movement soon. It seemed to pass for the most part, so I got up to get a drink. After a quick drink, the symptoms came back, so I sat down again. It seems to have passed for the most part, but my forearms were achy, especially the right wrist, and to a lesser extent the left wrist. 5-10 minutes after that, it s only the right wrist that s achy. And my stomach has till not settled. Does this sound like an emergency?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nausea and tightness in neck . Well it is very important to find out the exact cause of neck pain and correct it . Neck tightness and nausea can occur due to may reasons like muscle strains , nerve compression , Injuries ,diseases, cervical spondolysis and neck pain can also occur due to sore throat or tonsillitis . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor will examine physically , ask you to do certain movements and may order CT scan . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant and may recommend specific exercises .Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for infection of throat , who may prescribe antibiotics along with anti emetic drug . Acis reflux can also be one of the causes for such symptoms .For now do stretching exercises , apply warm compresses on neck and start physical therapy of neck .
