Neurologist 's  Response
There are a few reasons why narcotics are not great at treating migraine. You need to go to a neurologist or have the ER doctor try other medicines such as DHE, Reglan, Depacon, Steroids, and Toradol. Sometimes it can take a few consecutive infusions to break a migraine. But narcotics are not the answer. There have been modified protocols in place since the 80s so this is nothing new.
