Suggest Treatment For Muscular Pain In Buttocks

hi, I had a physical therapy evaluation and after feeling all my vertibrae which was determined are facing different directions (that s what I got from his explanation) causing a lot of my muscular pain, they said my coccyx is bent up and to the side. I do get pain in my buttocks but I associate it with my torn discs. they said before it bothers me further I should have it looked at because it can become a problem in the future. I see a pain management dr but he never checked out my entire spine, only my chief complaints. What should I do? What tests can be determined/what could a dr do for this?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

I will advise MRI spine and hip to see for any nerve compression leading to back pain.

Medication like methylcobalamine with muscle relaxant and analgesic will reduce pain; you can take them consulting your treating doctor.

You may consult physiotherapist for further guidance. He may start TENS, or ultrasound which is helpful in your case.

I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
As MRI shows disc compressing on nerve root then surgical decompression is permanent solution.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Take care.
