Suggest Treatment For Muscle Spasticity In A Child

my son is 2 years old and we believe he has muscle spasticity. He has not yet started to sit or hold things, yet he seems to be very clever in understanding, laughs and cries normally. we are already giving him physiotherapy. I would like to know if there is anything more we can do in aryurveda maybe?

Ayurveda Specialist 's  Response
Hi
Its really a matter of concern if your son is not able to sit even at an age of 2 years.
As per normal principles of Ayurveda, a child must start WALKING by the age of 1 YEAR and if it is not so, it should be considered pathological and should be treated accordingly.
Its a good thing that your son is having good psychological development ( as told by you ) which makes the treatment easier. Many such children coming to my clinic respond very well to the treatment but children with poor psychological development are difficult to treat.
Ayurved Medicines are the choice par excellence for such cases but the response depends upon how soon you start the treatment. You are already 8 months late and hence please start the treatment as soon as possible because its the matter of entire life of your son. Physiotherapy should be continued.
To plan the treatment, its needed to see entire treatment history of the child till now.
Hope the answer will help you.
Warm regards...

Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Ritesh Mahajan's  Response
I would recommend that you immediatly meet some panchakarma expert in your area. Ayurveda does wonders with maansvasti in such cases of delayed milestones. Added to that he will also add some medhya dravyas like brahmi, vacha etc. which will be a great healp.
