Noted your history of hearing Aid in right ear, hearing aid is fine, fluid in ear, muffled sound and no improvement in spite of Mucinex. The most probable reason can be told by en ENT examination alone. Hence Visit your ENT again or if not possible ask your Primary care Doctor to add on an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antihistamine with decongestant property. You may need oral steroid for early recovery. Other possibilities like wax or deterioration in pre-existing condition can be a additional cause. Do not blow nose. So not instill anything in ear. Follow Doctor's guidelines.
