Cardiac Surgeon 's  Response
Raju, first of all don't panic about death. asymtomatic(without any symptoms) trace or mild Mitral regurgitation (MR) exists in a large number of healthy individuals. But advancement to severe form causing symptomatic MR depends person to person , underlying cause of MR, and genetic make up of the individuals. It's not necessary that ur MR would rapidly deteriorate by time if u r not having any connective tissue disorders. I suggest u to enjoy ur life, and yearly cardiac check up.
