Suggest Treatment For Mild Hallux Valgus

What does the Xray result of my foot mean and what is the treatment : There is slight hallux valgus. Quite marked OA of the great toe MTP joint. There is an avulsion fragment from the base of the proximal phalanx, but this must have occurred some time ago as it is now corticated. The rest of the foot joints and bones appear normal Thanks

I have studied your report. You have not mentioned what symptoms you are having but on the basis of x ray report I can assume that there was a injury to foot in the past and now it is causing you pain and deformity. I would recommend you to meet a podiatrist and discuss these problems with him. Hallux valgus is very mild so you do not need any treatment, you just avoid wearing very tight or conical shoes. special splints are also available to tackle these deformity. For arthrits you can get inject steroid in to great toe or arthroscopic debridement of the toe.
