Suggest Treatment For Migraine

ta I have been a migraine sufferer for at least 30 yrs and have been taking cafergot but recently our government do not import therefor I have been taking caffox. Recent months I have been having attacks almost every day. I am 55 yr old and already menopause. Please advice

Hi

I understand your concern.

Usually migraine start in pubertal age and increase in frequency/severity in middle age.

It will gradually decrease in severity after menopause.

So you are already had menopause still if you have problem then need to differentiate it from post menopausal syndrome.

medicines like antidepressant like amitryptiline along with flunarizine is the choose for migraine. It will prevent further attack.

acute attack can be reduce by analgesic medicines.

Take neurologist advise before taking any medicines.
