Suggest Treatment For Middle Ear Infections

Last Thursday I was told that I had a middle ear infection. Was given an iv antibiotic and sent home with drops to numb the ears and Keflex. Saturday due to the ringing in my ears, ears feeling full, and one ear draining blood I went back to the Dr. Busted ear drum on the one side, and she gave me a shot of cipro. and kept me on the medications. I still at this time cannot hear much and the ringing is driving me nuts and the ears are still full. What can I do?

Hi....welcome to this forum and hope I m helpful to you....you seem to have acute suppurative otitis media with eustachian tube dysfunction...this is a tube which ventilates the middle ear and connects nasopharynx to middle ear...its blockage can lead to middle ear infections...apart from antibiotics and ear drops, you should start xylometazoline nose drops, systemic decongestants like Tab sinarest(chlorpheneramine maleate+pseudoephedrine+paracetamol+caffeine) twice a day with lot of steam inhalations..avoid freezes and chilled food items...don't worry you will immediately feel relief.....jus keep your ear dry....
