Suggest Treatment For Meniere S Disease

I have tenitis in my left ear and can barely hear out of it. I was diagnosed with Minier s disease several years ago. I ve taken steroids for it, but they didn t help. It has gotten worse over the last six months, when I started getting vertigo so bad I would spend an hour at a time throwing up. I ve been watching my diet closely and can keep my sodium intake to less than 800 mg most days. I noticed that most of my attacks happen right after eating and not necessarily meals with a lot of sodium. The only thing that seems to be in common is that they have contained milk. I get dizzy, (Sometimes resting helps, but not always.) then I get vertigo and throw up. I get really pale and sooo cold too. I ve heard the allergies can agrivate Minier s disease so I cut milk out of my diet as well, just incase that might be the cause of it. Any ideas? Maybe I was misdiagnosed?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
The triad of meniere's includes Vertigo, Tinntus, Hearing loss. In your case no clue about hearing. If it was diagosed by your ENT / Neuro Dr well and good to arrive for the conclusion. Any provoking factors for the miniere's like food allergy to be avoided as much as possible. During acute attack you may require- Cinnarizine+ Dramamine combination with or without Beta histine will be helpful. In addition maintain your hydration.
for the maintenance therapy- Cinnarizine 75 mg once daily dose for 3 months will be helpful . But i still advice you to consult your ENT/Neuro Dr on acute attacks since it affects your day to day activities. Take care.
