General & Family Physician 's  Response
Takes few more weeks for complete healing after fistulotomy. post care is important taking sitz bath 10to 15mns for 2to3 times a daywith warm water is good & apply ointment if prescribed.cushion having hole in the middle makes position comfortable, resume normal activities till feels comfortable, & take high fiber diet & drink 6to8 glass of water per day or stool softners can be used to avoid constipation. to avoid Infection complete the course of antibiotics prescribed by your surgeon & keep followup appointment every 3wks as directed & repair inguinal hernia is needed.
