I have a small bump/lump right on the edge and right in the centre of my lower lip. It doesn't appear to be coloured at all, but of course looks red if I fiddle with it. There is no pain. I thought it was a pimple and tried squeezing it but only a little clear fluid cane out, nothing like a pimple. It's not scaly and had no scab. Can't get to a doc until September 29. Help?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a small fluid filled bump over the lower lip seems to be either due to any bug bite or can be due to bacterial infection.. It can also be due to viral infection causing cold sores and can be an herpatic ulcer..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and in case if viral infection is suspected as the cause h can advise you investigations like Viral culture, antigen antibody reaction and polymerase chain reaction to confirm the diagnosis.. Antiviral oral as well as topical medications like cyclovir can be advised..
In case if it is bacterial infection antibiotic ointment can very well resolve it..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
