Suggest Treatment For Lump On Shin Bone After An Injury

I fell out of a tree about a month ago in sep and when I fell I fell very hard on my shin and it instantly bruised and swelled up to the size of an orange it hurt very badly but it s been a month now and I still have a nice lump on my shin that s kinda numb in the middle when I touch it but I can still feel pressure When I touch it (if that makes sense) it s still brused as well but it doesn t hurt anymore. Should I be worried and go to the doctors after have fallen a month ago?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Fall from the tree could have caused swelling and bruising over the injured area.
Swelling and bruising suggests hematoma formation.
Hematoma formation is caused by collection of blood due to internal bleeding.
Usually hematoma clear away after few days but in some instances, it can undergo fibrosis and remain firm.
A clinical assessment of the swelling is required to rule out any other lesion.
The swelling could be due to soft tissue swelling unrelated to the injury.

Thanks and take care
