Suggest Treatment For Lump On Collar Bone

I was under a lot of stress of just finding out my husband of 10years was cheeting on me and the next morning I was rubbing my collar bone and noticed a lump by the next day it had doubled in size. i was extreamly tired, had the chills, felt just sick and had loose bowles with some mucus in it. By the next day (2 days after) It doubled in size and I was in a lot of pain I couldnt move my neck without it hurting. i was also getting a quick sharp pain through out the day under my arm and then in my groing. That pain did not last it was a quick second of it. I went to the dr.s and they told me it was an infection and not to freak out. She put me on leviquin. I think the leviquin is making me sick. I have severe cramps more loose bowles with mucus, dry mouth, metal taste, I want to vomit, and it feels like someone is pulling on my stomic. 4 days of the leviquin and it has gone down a little in size but it seems to be harder not so swollen. No more pain under the arm or groing. i think the leviquin was making me sicker due to not eating with it. I have been so stressed so I have been eating only a little otmeal a day. Under my arm is sensitive only when I start diging on it to see if i feel lumps. So far none their. How long will it take for the lymp node in my collar to go away. Im so scared of the C word. I have gurd not sure if that helps any and I was off my nexum for like a few weeks. Any way I didnt take the leviquin till tonight and I felt not so sick or not having that stomic pulling pain. Im not sure Im scared because Im going through so much right now I dont need the C word too. Thanks From a dental Tech.

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. two things to consider primarily based from your description: 1. a possible cervical lymphadenopathy (inflamed lymph node) probably secondary to a recent upper respiratory tract infection 2. other considerations may be fibroma, lipoma, cyst or lesions of thyroid in origin.. clinical examination from your doctor will be of great help. further diagnostic examination such as neck ultrasound, ct-scan or x-ray and subsequent management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
