A couple of days ago, I noticed a lump under the skin at the corner of my right eye just next to and slightly above the tear duct towards the brow. There is also one at the very top of my nose bridge on the right side (not far from the one near the eye obviously) but near brow. Both are NOT visible when looking at the area at all and have caused no swelling. Both are very tender (in fact painful) to the touch. They are about the size of a pinhead (ok maybe a bit bigger than a pin head) and hard like cartilage. The only other symptom I have is a little tiny bit of watery eyes and sinus trouble. At first I thought it might be sinus related but then I noticed the pain was centered on these tender little lumps under the skin. Could this be from sinus problems? - --- Back history: I m a 46 year old female. No real health issues other than a few vit deficiencies as of late. I have no eye troubles that I know of other than needing reading glasses now that I buy over the counter (+275) where it used to be only +75 only 3-5 years ago...? I do have sinus pain and pressure all of the time and headaches as well. I was told I have a deviated septum by my old doc once but he didn t recommend doing anything... like always. For the sinus pressure I usually just cup my hand and use warm/hot tap water and suck it up my nasal passages to clean them out. I don t take any meds for it. ----- I m baffled my these painful little nodules and they re starting to worry me. I was thinking of using warm compresses to see if that helps in case it s just some kind of clogged ducts or nasal passages but I don t know what else to do as it only started two days ago. Any advice? (googling is NOT a good choice when you have anxiety as I do because everything leads to cancer or death...lol) Help!
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having some bacterial infection in your naso-lacrimal duct giving this problem. Put antibiotic eye drops 3-4 hourly for 2-3 days. If require go for one antibiotic medicine course for 3-5 days. Ok and take care.
