Suggest Treatment For Lump Behind Earlobe

I have developed a lump of some kind behind my ear lope (right where your jaw line and ear lope meets). It started out a size of a pea (well below the skin) about 2 months ago, and is now about a dime size (still below the skin surface). I can pull the skin away from the lump and the lump is still underneath. I would think that a cist would be more like a pimple on the surface that you couldn't pull the skin away from it. It is not coming to a head, so I'm concerned about what it could be.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems more to be like a swollen post auricular lymph node and as it is not attached the skin and is underneath it, you might be able to pull up the skin away..
Other causes of it can be a Lipoma or a sebaceous cyst or an Epidermoid cyst..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and if required an FNAC/Biopsy can be diagnostic..
In case if it is a lymph node that has swollen due to infection antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller and warm compresses can help..
In case of cyst or lipoma surgical excision is advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
