Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I recently had a diverticular abscess drained in mid December. I started to feel much better but have experienced lower left intermittent pain and Pepsi pain since. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for April but need to know if this pain is normal considering it s been 2 months
If this is the pain is due to the inflammatory condition of the colon, then it may not be a normal one, but it demands the medical attention prior to going for a colonoscopy, clinical differentiation is must without that it cannot be said to be a normal one.
If this is the nonspecific pain and does not indicate any sign of inflammation of intestine then it could be a normal one, you can discuss this with your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
