Noted the history about your husband having lower back pain on right for 4 days and now groin pain, given Cipro with pain medicines, now there is numbness and lower body temperature he slept all the day, wants to know whether to return to ER. As per the history you have provided, you should take your husband back to ER as the numbness and altered lower body temperature with backache is indicative of spinal problem and I would advise you the following: Clinical evaluation, examination and MRI of the lower spine to find about slipped disc and so on. I would also advise him to take strict bed rest till the investigations of blood, urine, stool and ultrasound is done. Continue Cipro at twice a day dosages give added on medicines as would be advised after reports.
