General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a physical examination by a [gastroenterologist]during an acute attack

2)Do a liver function test and latest CT scan and this will guide you for the treatments.

3)For uncomplicated cases treatment will be a course of antibiotics, liquid diets, and painkillers]

If complicated then take IV antibiotics and surgical treatments
So discuss with your treating Doctor about what s your current status now.

Do take few lifestyle modifications like this-

1)Try to do exercise regularly. Exercise promotes normal bowel function and reduces pressure inside your colon. Try to exercise at least 30 minutes on most days.

2)Try to eat more fiber. High-fiber foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains, soften waste material and help it passes more quickly through your colon. This reduces pressure inside your digestive tract.

3)Try to drink plenty of fluids. Fiber works by absorbing water and increasing the soft, bulky waste in your colon.

Hope that helps
