Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain

I had my laparascopic hysterectomy 7 1/2 weeks ago (removed uterus, cervix and fallopian tubes). My Dr. said 8 to 10 weeks before having intercourse, but we did sex only 7 1/2 weeks. Now Im having light lower abdominal pain (no abnormal discharge) and pain in the opening of my vagina. Is this normal or I will make a call to my OB-GYN?

Hi,

I would explain that your symptoms could be related to local inflammation.

As no discharge is present, an infection would be excluded.

Anyway, if the pain persists, I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
