Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain And Rectal Discharge With Blood

I ve had lower abdominal pain since early this morning, at times very sharp and painful. It is similar to the pain of constipation, but I am not constipated. Periodically I leak some fluid from my rectum, mostly colorless but with a little blood. I know I have internal hemorrhoids and I just had a clear colonoscopy about a yr ago. How long should I wait to see a dr? I am really good at talking myself out of Dr visits in general, but have always been a healthy adult-Female 54 tomorrow...

Hi welcome to health care magic...

Lower abdomen pain along with blood in stool can be from acute colitis....

For that stool examination has to be done. .
It might show pus cells and bacteria for which suitable antibiotic full course given like of ciprofloxacin and metronidazole....
If parasites egg seen than albendazole might needed...

Take lots of fluid with avoidance of excess spicy foods...

It could be from hemorrhoids also of which you have positive history....
For that proctoscopy examination done...
Stool softener for piles can be given to avoid constipation and avoid straining at stool...
