Suggest Treatment For Low Grade Fever, Wheezing And Bronchitis
I had low grade fever yesterday 98.x to 99; the doctor said I have wheezing and it is bronchitis. He subscribed 5-day antibiotics for me. Today is my 2nd day, but my fever seems went up to high 99.6 to 99.8. Should I be concerned? Would this be an indication that the antibiotics doesn t work?
Wheezing is suggestive of bronchoconstriction. Kindly mention that which antibiotic has been prescribed.
If congestion present than decongestant can be prescribed additionally. If wheezing is more, then bronchodilator like Levosalbutamol as nebulizer for two to three days can be prescribed.
If constantly increasing your fever (if reached more than 100), then further work up done with checking of CBC for total WBC count and CRP According to need. Complete the prescribed antibiotic course.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
