My 50 yo son has been taking prescription Rx? for acid reflux and loud burping for at least six years now. About six weeks ago he got a really bad sore throat and ear. Dx and tx for ruptured eardrum , drainage causing sore throat. Antibiotics were prescribed and used. He relapsed two weeks ago, chills & fever, sore throat. Throat a bit better, but no appetite, no taste for food, terrible burping,just doesn t feel well. He is a construction worker and works very high off the ground. Has had lots of stress in his life in the last seven years. My half brother died of esophageal cancer at age 58. My son never a smoker.
