Suggest Treatment For Low BP After Having Stent Put

I was released from the hospital yesterday after a one night stay for having a stent put in for a blockage in the coronary artery.I was put on plavix plus asperin and I am already taking coumadin as I have a metal aortic valve since 1990. My blood pressure is low today 90/67 with pulse 57 and I feel terrible, but have been walking a little. My concern is the low blood pressure as it has been around 12o/ 75. I was staying in a fib alot before too.

Hello. Welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
As per you have mentioned the reason for low blood pressure can be atrial fibrillations. But there are other possibilities must be ruled out.

My advice to you is -

1. Maintaining blood pressure around 130\80 mmhg is ideal. Kindly ask your doctor about how is your metallic valve functions? He will get that idea from echo study. Narrowing of valve can lead to hypotension. Upto 110\70 mmhg it's reasonable.

2.kindly confirm regarding whether you are taking any blood pressure medications or not. If you are taking any blood pressure medicines then ask your doctor regarding readjustment of the dose.

3.Ask your doctor regarding 24 hrs ecg monitoring
Which can give us idea regarding rhythm of your heart. Whether you have persistent Afib is there or not?

So, kindly ask your doctor regarding information I have given to you.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
