Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Loss of smell may be due to edema of mucosa or trauma to the nerve.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get it done MRI brain, nasal endoscopy and consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
