Suggest Treatment For Loose Stools And Restless Legs

What could be the problem with my husbands stools? when they seem to be loose which they are 99 % of the time and how could their be a connection with his stomach, his stools and Restless legs that he struggles with so much?...if his stools, ( his stomach) are normal then his RLS, his legs are calm and he can sleep. He says it is a given if his stomach is ok then he will be able to sleep.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your husband having loose stools 99 % of the times and he connects these to the RLS that is restless leg syndrome. He feels that if the abdomen is OK then he can sleep well, otherwise not.
My thoughts about your husband's condition:
Since the loose motions are there most of the times, there is no absorption of many essential elements., electrolytes and so many things that cause problems all over the body including the intestines itself.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Send the sample of stool and blood for the detailed test.
Liver, thyroid and kidney functions along with blood sugar should be done.
Colonoscopy and CT scan of the abdomen are a must if the medical management fails.
A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics may change the picture for better.
Rest of the treatment as per the reports of investigations.
