hi dr i suffered with loose moting and stomach pain with full of mucous in motion i had taken nice table for that then i got mucous in motion in my 5th month of pregnacy it is going to affect my child in any ways whether the baby will be normall now? please advise in this regard,thanking you
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. NISE tablet is Nimesulide and is contraindicated in pregnancy. Mucus in stool with loose motions and pain in abdomen can be due to intestinal infection or colitis for that sake. Since you are pregnant in 5 month of pregnancy, please get the following things done: Stool tests. Consult your Gynecologist for getting safe medications for such a condition. Colonoscopy can not be done as you are pregnant. Take plenty of oral fluids and do not allow dehydration. If required get admitted for proper intravenous fluids, antibiotics and have proper electrolyte balance.
