I have been suffering from Jock Itch for about an year. I have tried many creams such as candid, Itch guard, keto soaps and clorimazole powder but all the trials gone in vein. Im tired of this black itch scars between my thighs, groin area and my buttocks.. my body even started to develop other skin diseases because of it.. I have read in a blog these It is caused due to some bad bacteria in stomatch and which has to be treated to prevent it from occuring again.. Please suggest me a affective medication. It gets so embarrassing to scratch around as Im a 20 year old and Im so ashamed to meet even my girlfriend... hope u understand :( :(
Hi. As per your case history you are having fungal infection called as tinea cruris. My treatment advice is - 1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral fluconazole, itraconazole and terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
