Suggest Treatment For Itchy Scalp And Dandruff

Hi sir, I am facing this dandruff problem about 8 years. The problems are like 1) I have some small sand like grains on my scalp, If i try to take that it comes out with the hair. I found this sand like grains many in my scalp. 2) I also have a normal dandruff problem I mean the itchy scalp. Right now i am using FLUCORT skin lotion and WETAR SHAMPOO for one month, but i didnt see any positive results.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy scalp and dandruff. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like

- dry skin
- irritated skin
- not shampooing often enough
- chronic inflammatory skin condition like psoriasis , fungus
- sensitivity to hair care products.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to shampoo often which contains salicylic acid or Ketoconazole. You should avoid styling products, hair sprays, styling gels. Sometimes stress can also cause such symptoms, so try to reduce stress. You should eat a healthy diet and get a little sun exposure.Consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may prescribe antifungal medicine.
