Suggest Treatment For Itchy Ringworm On The Thigh

Right before Christmas, I had 2 VERY itchy bites on the back of my thigh. One went away, but one turned into ringworm. I used a topical over the counter cream that seemed to work, but as soon as I stopped the bite reappeared and then turned into ringworm again. I tried the process again for 2 weeks, with the same results. Still have it with nothing working.

Hello,

Thank you for the question and welcome to Healthcaremagic!

From what you have described it seems you have a fungal genital infection. This can be confirmed by attaching a picture of the area or examination of the region. If you have similar infected area in any other area of body its best to get it examined by a local doctor to confirm the diagnosis.

Fungal infections are notorious in recurring unless proper hygiene measures are taken during treatment.

As your infection has been over 2 weeks, in addition to topical anti fungal cream you will also need to take oral anti fungal tablet one dose. Contact your local physician for this prescription.
Maintain strict hygiene precautions such as avoiding touching the infected area and then any other area of body to avoid spread, washing daily of clothes in hot water, taking bath daily with anti fungal soap and avoid contact with other infected people.
This will help.
