Suggest Treatment For Itchy Red Spots On The Ear

I am travelling in Oregon and have recently noticed red, itching spots on my skin, and I am assuming they are bug or spider bits, but am not certain. Some of them appear to be swelling. A couple are on either jaw line by the ear, but most are on my upper arm (behind the biceps) and elbows, and some are on behind the knee and on the side of the knee. I currently am taking warfarin, linosopril, and diabetic medications, glipizide and metformin, and am wondering if I can take benodril or something other.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red spots on the ear which is because of ear infection leading to otitis externa and it could be due to skin allergic reaction as well. Need not to worry. You can use ciplox or gatiflox ear drops for local application. Avoid touching or pricking it with sharp object. You should visit ENT specialist and go for otoscopic examination and start treatment after proper prescription. Keep ears dry and clean. Start with antibiotic course of that particular bacteria. Apply topical antibacterial ointment such as betnovate on skin.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
