Suggest Treatment For Itchy Irritated Yeast Infection Of The Intergluteal Cleft

I was told I had yeast infection of the inter gluteal cleft lotions did not help. I tried the tablet AZO which has helped. I am 58 female and I am overweight. I am 5 7 and about 195 pounds. I am well aware that it is due to my OB city as I also have the skin irritation and itching my bikini scar from previous c sections. what else can I do for this besides losing weight which seems to be a losing battle.? I was always a healthy weight (never skinny) but never had to worry about weight until menopause.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Yeast infection occurs in areas which remain wet for long duration of time.
Obesity increases the chances of yeast infection since the skin folds allow the growth of yeast readily when there is obesity.
Thus, you should keep the skin folds dry as far as possible.
Treatment includes application of anti-fungal ointment or anti-fungal powder.
Weight loss will definitely be an advantage but local and systemic use of anti-fungals will provider prompt relief from itching and other symptoms.

Thanks and take care
