Hi, i recently quite embarrassingly was scratching my scrotum quite hard because it was very itchy and i woke up to what it felt to be a quite painful stingy part on my scrotum. It feels wet as if it has oozed like a friction burn and it looks as if skin is missing im just not sure what it is. help ?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You would need to treat the source of the itching (to prevent recurrence) and excoriation (breaks in the skin) due to the itching.

It is possible that the itching was due to irritation of the skin by a chemical agent. The use of a mild steroid cream may help this.

The use of a barrier cream such a a zinc based cream may also be helpful.

I hope this helps
