Suggest Treatment For Itching Bite On The Leg

I have one very large bite on my leg. It is very itchy and at the site of the bite there is a bit of clear dried liquid. It itches like crazy and is hard to the touch. It is larger than a quarter. Could this be a mosquito bite or worse? Anything I need to have treated?

Hi.
As per your case history of mosquito bite, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching.
5. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
