Suggest Treatment For Ischemic Heart Disease
I had five stents placed in January for ischaemic heart disease. Yesterday three of the five were blocked and replaced. I have been on Plavix all along, my heart rate is 40/min on Metoprolol 25mg bd. Should I have a pacemaker, Coreg instead of metoprolol?

Well come to HCM
The low heart rate is bradycardia and if this is sinus in origin then no need for pacemaker but if there is some conduction defect then this may need pacemaker, and that is all depends upon the EKG and ECHO study simply low heart rate is not the indication of pacemaker, hope this helps.
