Hi doctor I am experiencing a irritation in my top lip with a small needle sized black dot on it it doesn t itch but it does slightly burn....I was just in the need of a professional opinion because I can t sleep tonight because of the unlikely notion that it is herpes. Thanks
As per your query you have irritation black spot on your upper lip well there is no need to panic . There can be many reasons for black spot on lip like caffeinated beverages , sun exposure , bite , vitamin B deficiency and allergic reaction . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses on lip , take anti histamine like benadryl , stop using any cosmetic product and take vitamin B supplement for at least a week . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
