Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods And PCOD

GM doctor.... I have PCOD problem....irregular periods. Docotor suggested Cycloset syrup. since 3 months getting periods only if I use tablets for periods. Planning for pregnancy since 2 months. In the scan the report is bilateral PCOD. please suggest how to get pregnancy at the earliest. Will APCOD sachets will help. Taking since 3 months folic acid table and vitamin tablets. Kindly advise. Follic study had done in the last month on 8th, 10th & 12 th day but there is no growth of endroium. Please help. When we approached Infertility centre she asked for laproscopy, is it must or any other alternative method will help. Age : 24 Yrs Weight - 74 Kgs Kind Regards xxxx

I understand your concern.
Polycystic ovary disease (PCOD) is a condition in which a woman's hormones are not in balance. It causes problems with irregular periods and make it difficult to conceive. But this problem can be overcome with appropriate treatment.
The following things needs to be done to increase the chances of conceiving in cases of PCOD:
1. Balanced diet consumption that includes lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low carbohydrate and low-fat diet.
2. Do regular moderate exercise to help reduce weight.
3. Regularization of menstrual cycle by using combined pills.
4. Induction of ovulation by drugs like clomifen and/or metformin.
Regular follow-up is necessary and medications adjusted accordingly so that it would help you to improve the chances of conceiving.
Kindly have patience in this regard and wait for it to happen.
