Suggest treatment for irregular menstruation

I finally got my period after three months of not having it and knowing I was not pregnant. This happens quite often and I was wondering why I would be skipping so many cycles and if getting on Birth Control would help to regulate it. I have a blood disorder called factor IV so I m not sure if I can get put on a birth control pill.

Hello,

Very likely using the birth control pills in your case does not increase the risks for bleeding and will help with the periods to become regular. On the other hand, it is best to try to understand why you are getting these irregular periods.
I would advise you to do an examination with your doctor and some blood tests to rule out PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) as a possible cause of irregular periods.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
