Suggest Treatment For Intramuscular Lipoma And Headaches

I have been told I have an intramuscular lipoma on the left side of the back of my neck. I have been referred to a surgeon to have it removed. It causes me headaches everyday that I am having trouble deal with. Will the surgery to remove it be risky and if they have to cut the muscle, will it heal? How much time do you think I will need away from work?

lipoma can be above skin and can be diagnosed by palpation. if confirmed then it can be surgically removed second opinion can be taken about its location. aspiration biopsy can be done there is no urgency since it gives only pressure symptoms
